Kim

This is a drawing I made of my best friend, Kim, who enjoys the company of only the most distinguished cephalopods. It was also an experiment in half-tone shading which I love the look of, but i definitely need more practice.

Here's my swanktastic technicolor energy loop!

Stop Motion Reel

Freeform Stop Motion Reel from Neil Morrissey on Vimeo.

This assignment was a blast. We were given a chance to go nuts and the only requirement was the video had to be 10 seconds minimum, so I cranked out as much stop-motion as I could.

The music is "Dead Right" by Psyche Origami

The animatic I made for my alter-ego character.

The Mumbler

This is the first draft of my alter-ego character "the mumbler."
...aaand this is what he ended up looking like. I love lucha masks.

Jethro vs. The Goblin

This is what I ended up turning in as my final. It's not finished, and it never will be, I hate drawing that damn farmer.

Weight Test

Weight Test from Neil Morrissey on Vimeo.

Really not happy about this one. I see several things I need to tweak. The feather just sort of stops in it its tracks, it needs more frames. The rock needs to settle longer. I'll work on it and upload an updated version soon.

Ball Bounce

Ball Bounce from Neil Morrissey on Vimeo.

My third animation assignment. Animating a ball bouncing in an invisible space and using its bouncing to define that space. Took about a week and I'm pretty happy with it even though its sticky in certain places.

Pendulum

We were told to animate a pendulum and then add our embellishments. I chose a fetus.
